Safety Precautions
This manual uses safety alert symbols and words to alert users to hazardous situations. There are four levels of alerts: DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION, and NOTICE.
General Safety Rules
Read all safety warnings and instructions carefully. Failure to follow warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection, dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, and hearing protection.
Keep work areas clean and well-lit, and avoid overreaching or losing control of the power tool.
Electrical Safety
Ensure power tool plugs match the outlet, and never modify the plug in any way.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, and keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, and moving parts.
Power Tool Use and Care
Use the correct power tool for your application, and avoid forcing the tool or using it in a damp location.
Maintain power tools and accessories, and check for misalignment or binding of moving parts.
