Safety Recall H441
The recall affects 2019-2024 model year Jaguar I-PACE vehicles due to a potential thermal overload condition in the High Voltage Battery Assembly, which may cause smoke or fire.
The recall includes a software update to the Battery Energy Control Module (BECM) to enhance diagnostics and monitor battery conditions that may lead to overheating.
Important Safety Precautions
Owners are advised to park away from structures, charge outside where possible, and limit charging to 75% until the recall is completed.
After the recall, owners may resume normal charging and parking habits.
Repair Information
The recall can be completed using a wired update via TOPIx Cloud, and some vehicles may also be eligible for a Software Over The Air (SOTA) update.
Retailers will be notified via a bulletin, and clients will be notified by mail.
