Safety Recall Action
A defect has been identified in certain Aston Martin models manufactured between May 14, 2012, and April 10, 2013. The throttle pedal lever may fracture due to incorrect material specification, causing the throttle to return to the idle position and loss of function.
Affected Vehicles
The affected vehicles include models DB9, DBS, V8 Vantage, V12 Vantage, and Rapide, with specific VIN ranges listed in Appendix “A”.
Repair Procedure
Dealers are instructed to replace the throttle pedal assembly with a new part that has a green paint mark on the rear of the pedal. The old part must be made unserviceable.
Labour time and administration costs are reimbursable through the warranty program.
