Introduction
The 1982 Porsche 928 model has only minor modifications.
Engine Modifications
The engine has a new crankshaft bearing design with a lubrication groove and 4 slots.
The crankshaft bearings have modified torque values:
Studs M 10: 60 + 6 Nm (40 + 4 ft-lbs)
Studs M 12: 76 + 6 Nm (56 + 4 ft-lbs)
Other Modifications
Other modifications include improved mounting of the alternator and pulleys, and a new pressure relief valve.
The transmission has a new shift control tube and a modified torsion damper.
The fuel consumption indicator and equipment survey have also been updated.
