Important Identification for Volvo S60 and V70 Front Lower Control Arms
Due to production variances, vehicles may be equipped with one of two front lower control arm types: forged aluminum or cast steel.
Applications include Volvo S60 (mid 2006 to 2007 assembly) and Volvo V70 (mid 2006 to 2007 assembly).
Visual Identification Recommended
Visually identify the front lower control arm type when ordering replacements. See Figures 1 and 2 for depiction of the different types.
Always refer to the factory service manual for correct diagnostic procedures, component removal and installation methods, as well as fastening torque values and procedures where applicable.
