Introduction

The nVent PYROTENAX Power Stripper Tool kit is designed for stripping of nVent PYROTENAX copper sheath Mineral Insulated (MI) cables with diameters of 0.543 in and smaller.

The Power Stripper head must be inserted into a Milwaukee M18″ Cable stripper or Milwaukee M18″ Cable Stripper Kit (not supplied).

Kit Contents

The kit includes a Power Stripper Tool Adapter Head, Head Adapter Bushing, Guide Bushing, and other accessories.

Important Safety Information

Warning: Do not use the nVent PYROTENAX Power Stripper Tool with any non-compatible strippers or cables. Use only approved nVent PYROTENAX power stripper tool head, cable head adapter bushings, and power tool guide bushings.

Follow all warnings, instructions, and recommendations associated with the use of the Milwaukee M18″ Cable stripper and battery.

Preparing the Power Tool

Remove the top screw and square nut from the power tool head, and then remove the black handle and depth gauge.

Insert the power stripper adapter head into the tool, while depressing the bushing latch on the power tool.

Using the MI Power Stripper

Choose the correct head adapter bushing and guide bushing according to the cable sheath diameter to be removed.

Insert the selected guide bushing to the back of the base tool, and then insert the selected head bushing into the tool adapter head.

Straighten the cable if necessary, and file the cable end lightly to remove burrs and facilitate cable entry into nylon bushing.
