Safety Recall
A potential concern has been identified on 2019 Model Year XE vehicles with Rear View Camera and Navigation Pro specified, where the rear view camera image display may become intermittent or permanently fail as a result of wiring damage in the trunk.
This recall aims to repair the affected vehicles to ensure compliance with FMVSS No. 111, Rear Visibility and CMVSS No. 111, Mirrors and Rear Visibility Systems.
Action to be Taken
Retailers/authorized repairers are required to contact the owners of affected vehicles to arrange for the repair to be completed.
The repair involves testing the operation of the rear view camera, removing the luggage compartment left trim panel, and repairing or replacing the damaged wiring harness and retaining clips.
