Some 2018 model year LC500 vehicles may display a “Low Engine Oil” alert, but the engine’s oil level may be within specification.
Repair Procedure
Follow the steps outlined in this bulletin to address this condition, including reprogramming the Combination Meter ECU and performing a Health Check.
Required tools and equipment include Techstream 2.0* and the GR8 Battery Diagnostic Station.
This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty, which is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
