This datasheet describes the CommScope Fiber OSP cable, a non-armored, all-dielectric, arid-core dry central tube ribbon cable designed for outdoor use in various regions.
Construction and Materials
The cable features a gel-free, ribbon central tube construction with 144 OM3, bend-insensitive multimode fibers. The fibers are organized into 12-fiber ribbons, and the cable has a black, UV-stabilized jacket.
Physical and Environmental Specifications
The cable has a minimum bend radius of 276.9 mm (10.9 in) when loaded and 139.7 mm (5.5 in) when unloaded. It can withstand a maximum tensile load of 180 lbf (800 N) long-term and 2700 N (600 lbf) short-term. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +70°C (-40°F to +158°F).
