Purpose
This technical bulletin informs trained technicians about a condition that may occur on some vehicles, providing information to assist in proper vehicle service.
Affected Vehicle Range
This bulletin applies to Range Rover Evoque (LV) models from 2012-2015, with GTDi 2.0L Petrol or GTDi 2.0L Petrol SULEV engines.
The condition may cause poor engine performance, rough engine runs, poor starting, and/or engine MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp) illumination with specific Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
The cause of this condition may be internal engine damage leading to a loss of compression and rough running.
Technicians should follow the diagnostic procedures and, if necessary, the workshop procedure outlined in the bulletin to address this concern.
