Introduction

The LaFerrari is a hybrid-electric car, featuring a V12 6.3-liter aspirated combustion engine and an electric part developed with Magneti Marelli.

The HY-KERS system generates a total power of 963 HP, reducing emissions by about 40%.

Main Components

The electric engines are controlled by two associated inverters, with the first engine providing drive to the vehicle and recovering kinetic energy during braking.

The second engine, driven by the combustion engine, generates electricity used to keep the charge level of lithium batteries constant.

Magneti Marelli also supplies technology dedicated to the LaFerrari in the Lighting area, Powertrain, and Electronic Systems.
