Condition Summary

The transmission may exhibit a harsh 4th-to-5th gear shift at speeds between 30-50 km/h, and in certain cases, the harsh gear shift may be accompanied by a transmission warning message on the Instrument Cluster (IC).

Cause

This may be caused by a TCM software issue.

Action

Should a customer express this concern, refer to the Service Instruction and then follow the Diagnostic Procedure(s) below.
