Safety Precautions

Before operating the generator, please read this Owner’s Manual carefully. The engine exhaust contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. The generator produces enough electric power to cause a serious electric shock or electrocution if misused.

Important safety information is provided throughout the manual, including safety labels on the generator, safety messages, and damage prevention messages.

Generator Safety

The generator is designed for use with electrical equipment that has suitable power requirements. Other uses can result in injury to the operator or damage to the generator and other property.

Never attempt to modify the generator, and do not connect an extension to the muffler. Do not remove the control panel or change the control panel wiring.

Operation

Before starting the engine, make sure the generator is on a level surface, and check for signs of oil or gasoline leaks, damage, and proper operation of controls.

Add engine oil to the generator before first use, and refuel in a well-ventilated area.
