GMC is proud to introduce the redesigned Sierra HD, including the first-ever Denali Outskirts model, as well as the legendary Sierra and Yukon, which offer the widest array of full-size hybrids available. These new vehicles demonstrate how experience and innovation can overcome compromise, as seen in the Sierra Hybrid, which offers the best fuel economy of any full-size pickup.
The Sierra Hybrid is the first two-mode hybrid in a full-size pickup, providing a 33% increase in EPA-estimated city fuel economy compared to the most efficient gasoline-only Sierra. The vehicle’s 6.0L V-8 VVT engine produces 332 horsepower and 367 lb-ft of torque, and features variable valve timing to produce balanced power across a wide RPM range.
Additionally, the Sierra Hybrid has a 300-volt battery pack built with Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) technology, which enables electric drive at low speeds and light loads. The vehicle’s regenerative braking system captures energy as electricity in the battery pack during normal stops.
The Sierra Hybrid is available in Pure Silver Metallic and Fire Red, and offers a maximum payload capacity of 1,500 lbs and a maximum trailer weight of 6,100 lbs.
