Overview
This datasheet specifies the requirements for a connector, plug, electrical, special purpose, cable outlet, grounding locking, 2 pole, 3 wire 15 amperes, 125 volts, 50/60 hertz. The connector is designed for grounding locking and is rated for 15 amperes at 125 volts 50/60 hertz.
Design and Configuration
The connector shall have the configuration and dimensions shown in figure 1 and shall conform to NEMA WD 6, configuration L5-15R.
Ratings
The connector shall have the following ratings:
• Voltage: 125 volts
• Current: 15 amperes
• Frequency: 50/60 hertz
Strain Relief
The connector shall accommodate cable diameter 300-575 inch (7.62-14.61 mm).
Other Information
The connector is not acceptable for armored construction and the part or identifying number (PIN) is WC596/101-. The supersession and cross reference information can be found in Tables I and II.
