Important Installation Notes

It is crucial to follow the correct installation procedure for the new ball joints to ensure proper alignment and longevity. This may require multiple attempts to achieve the correct position.

Pre-Installation Checks

Before installing the new ball joints, inspect the camber sleeve for signs of wear and replace it if necessary.

Ensure the camber sleeve moves freely and without restriction before proceeding with the installation.

Installation Torque Sequence

The installation torque sequence must be followed carefully, with the steering knuckle in the straight-ahead position.

The correct torque values depend on the type of steering knuckle, and charts are provided for aluminum and cast iron knuckles.

After final torque value is achieved, manually advance the castle nut to the next castle opening for the cotter pin to be inserted.
