Overview
The Diablo 6.0 is a 4-stroke, 12-valve engine with a displacement of 6.0 liters. It features an indirect MPI injection system and liquid cooling with a double radiator.
Lubrication
The engine has a forced lubrication system with an oil pump, check level, and replacement. The oil is cooled by an oil radiator.
Components
The engine contains key components such as the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, cylinder heads, and timing system. The crankshaft is made of hardened and tempered steel, while the connecting rods are made of titanium alloy. The pistons are made of pressed light alloy and have three rings, two seals, and one oil scraper.
Cylinder Numbering
The engine has a unique cylinder numbering system, with the No. 1 cylinder being the first of the left-hand cylinder bank near the flywheel. The numbering continues following a U towards the right-hand cylinder bank.
Cooling System
The cooling system is a closed-loop system with forced circulation by a centrifugal pump belt driven by the crankshaft. The system has two cooling radiators and a vented gas recycling system.
The workshop manual provides detailed specifications, descriptions, and diagrams for the Diablo 6.0 engine, covering topics such as engine cooling, lubrication, and removal and refit procedures.
