The technical bulletin addresses inadequate air conditioning (AC) performance in certain Jaguar models. The affected vehicles include F-PACE (X761), F-TYPE (X152), XE (X760), XF (X250), XF (X260), XJ Range (X351), and XK Range (X15O) models from specific model years and VIN ranges.

Causes and Symptoms:

The problem may be caused by a worn Direct Pressure Sensing (DPS) valve in the air conditioning compressor. The symptom is inadequate AC performance, where the compressor clutch (if applicable) works properly, but the AC system does not.

Repair Procedure:

The repair procedure involves removing the air conditioning compressor, replacing the DPS valve, and inspecting the inside wall of the cylinder head for damage or foreign material.

Refer to the Workshop Manual for detailed instructions and special tools required for the repair.
