Overview

Aries 90-pin staked flex jumpers combine thin, flexible solid Copper conductors embedded between layers of tough, flexible, and flame-retardant insulation. They are designed for high-reliability applications and are suitable for lead-free soldering.

General Specifications

The jumpers have standard cable insulation of white UL VW-1, Style 2643 flame retardant Polyester (Mylar) adhesive and high-temperature flame retardant cable insulation of Polyimide (Kapton) insulation with acrylic adhesive. The conductors are solid Copper with a cross-sectional area equivalent to 26 gauge AWG. The female housing is black UL 94V-0 Glass-filled Stanyl 4/6 Nylon, and the female and male crimp-on pins are spring-tempered Copper Alloy 510.

Cable Performance

The jumpers have a cable current rating of 3 Amps, a cable voltage rating of 300 Volts, and a cable dielectric strength of 2500 Volts/mil. The insulation resistance is 1000 MOhms minimum (standard) or 100,000 MOhms (high-temp). The conductor contact resistance is 2 OmOhms initial (max. 20 mOhm increase) based on a 2″ cable at 20°C.

Mounting Considerations

The recommended PCB hole size is 0.032 + 0.002 inches [0.81 + 0.05] diameter.
