The Porsche Dashcam Taycan is a retrofitting solution for capturing video recordings of driving situations and parking scenarios. The manual provides instructions for installation and conversion of the dashcam system.
Key Features
The dashcam system includes a front camera, which is attached to the windshield to the left of the interior mirror. The camera is connected to the vehicle electrical system and can record video in Quad High Definition (QHD). The system also features an audio recording function, global positioning system (GPS) sensor, vibration sensor, and radar sensor.
Installation
The installation process requires preparatory work, including cleaning the windshield and roof area, removing roof and dash trim panels, and loosening the left fuse carrier. The dashcam is then installed by attaching the retainer plate with wire harness to the base of the front camera and positioning it to the left of the interior mirror on the windshield.
