Important Safety Precautions
Ensure the VIN matches the work order and verify there are no “Holds” on the vehicle. It’s also important to properly train accessory installers and ensure they have the equipment, tools, and safety instructions necessary to do the job correctly and safely.
Vehicular Preparation
Turn the front wheels to the left or right to improve access to the fender liner and open the hood to use the prop rod to hold it in the open position.
Disconnect the negative battery cable from the 12V negative battery stud, taking care not to touch body ground or the negative battery terminal, and allow 60 seconds before proceeding to ensure the airbag power supply is discharged.
