Overview
This datasheet specifies the requirements for connectors described as hospital-grade grounding, 2-pole, 3-wire, 15 amperes, 125 volts, and 50/60 hertz.
Requirements
The connectors shall conform to NEMA WD 6, configuration 5-15P and have the following specifications:
- Design and configuration: Hospital grade with straight-in wiring using clamp type terminals
- Dimensions: Shall conform to NEMA WD 6, configuration 5-15P
- Mating face: Dead-front construction
- Armored construction: Not acceptable
- Rating: 125 volts, 15 amperes, 50/60 hertz
- Mating connector: W-C-596/11, W-C-596/12, or W-C-596/14
- Strain relief: Accommodate cable diameter 3.25 to 5.75 inches (8.26 to 14.60 mm)
- Blade strength: Connectors shall not have wires connected to terminals during test
- Pin: W-C-596/13- (dash number from Table I)
