Introduction
This guide is designed to quickly familiarize you with some important features of your 2005 Mazda RX-8. It’s divided into various sections, including Getting Started, Instrument Cluster, Driver Controls, and more.
Getting Started
To prevent alarm arming with Traction Control System (TCS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), you must manually lock the door by pressing the lock knob. If the DSC light remains on, you will need to perform a temporary spare tire calibration procedure.
Instrument Cluster
The instrument cluster is designed to provide you with essential information about your vehicle’s performance. The gauges include fuel level, engine coolant temperature, and speedometer. The rotary engine design allows RPM ranges of 7000 RPM (AT) and 9080 RPM (MT), and you should always obey local speed limits and traffic signs.
Driver Controls
The driver controls section covers various features, including turn signal lighting control, wiper/washer control, and cruise control. The cruise control has incremental ON/OFF acceleration and deceleration features.
