Troubleshooting Guide

This technical product information document aims to resolve issues with the boot lid functionality of the Continental Series and Flying Spur models. The guide provides a series of checks and updates to ensure robust boot lid operation.

Checks and Adjustments

Ensure the boot lid seal is correctly fitted, and the knock-on strip element is fully engaged on the lip of the boot aperture.

Check the seal is correctly orientated and the vulcanised joint is centered.

Over check the torque on the bolts securing the boot hinge to the body.

Test the boot lid function by performing three consecutive power open-close cycles, and then carrying out a closing force gauge test to record the load at which the boot lid power latches.
