Before installing the crossbar kit, prepare the roof rail for installation by removing the four cap covers and saving them for reassembly.
Installation Steps
The crossbar kit includes the following components: crossbar assembly, crossbar supports, M8 vehicle attachment bolts, anti-rotation clips, and a key.
>To install the front crossbar, locate the crossbar supports and insert the M8 vehicle attachment bolts and anti-rotation clips. Ensure the bolts are tightened to 12 N.m (106 in.lb). For the rear crossbar, follow the same steps.
Retroring Bolts
Retrorge all four bolts a second time to ensure a secure installation.
Final Steps
Install the crossbar covers by aligning the ball and socket joint, and apply slight downward force to engage the cover. Rotate the lock to the locked position using the key.
Store the crossbar user’s manual, torque tool, key, and protection bag in the glove box compartment.
Check the accessory function and vehicle appearance after installation and removal of protective cover(s) to ensure a quality installation.
