Affected Vehicles

The bulletin applies to V6 SIC 3.0L Petrol vehicles with an 8HP7O 8-Speed Automatic Transmission AWD.

Condition Summary

The customer may express concern about a ‘2 Wheel Drive Only Traction Reduced’ message displayed on the instrument panel cluster, or a malfunction indicator lamp illuminated on the cluster. The technician may also find Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) (DTC) ‘UOO01-87 High Speed (HS) Controller Area Network (CAN) Comm bus missing message’ stored in the transmission control module.

Action

To repair the issue, follow the instructions below, which include purchasing and installing splice connectors, heatshrink, and cable ties.

Use Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment, including the 418-672 Insulation (Wire) Stripper, 418-M16A Wire crimper, and JLR approved battery support unit.
