The purpose of this document is to provide instructions for installing a rubber boot onto the alternator of specific Lamborghini Aventador models (MY 2012, 2013, and 2014). The boot serves as protection against external corrosion on the alternator positive pole fastener.
Important Safety Precautions
Before proceeding, ensure that the vehicle is in a controlled environment and check for any possible hazards. Wear protective gloves and other necessary safety equipment.
Procedure
- Disconnect the positive pole from the battery, following the instructions in the workshop manual.
- Remove the trunk panel to access the battery.
- Unscrew the fastener bolt on the positive pole and remove the nut that secures the alternator positive cable.
- Fit the rubber boot, ensuring it fits well with the nut and cable.
- Reassemble the engine bay rear finishing panel and reconnect the battery positive pole.
- Charge the Super Cap using the specific tool (P/N 69195291) as described in the workshop manual.
Remember to follow all necessary safety precautions and to only perform this procedure on the specified vehicle models.
