Technical Bulletin Notice
The 4T65E Transmission is experiencing 1-2 shift shudder at light to moderate acceleration. This bulletin supersedes Corporate Bulletin Number 06-07-30-023B.
Correction
Replace the complete second clutch assembly with service kit, PIN 24240561. Refer to the GM Unit Repair Service Manual for the year and model of the vehicle being serviced for the second clutch service procedure.
Additional Information
The service kit contains: Second Clutch Housing Fluid Seal Rings, a Second Clutch Assembly, a Case Cover (Channel Plate) Upper Gasket, and a Case Cover (Channel Plate) Lower Gasket. Other gaskets not included in this service kit will also be needed to complete the repair.
It is important to use only the parts in the service kit as instructed to avoid improper function and possible transmission distress.
