Installation Instructions
Before attempting to install this product, read and understand these instructions. Failure to follow installation instructions and not using the provided hardware may damage the intake tube, throttle body and engine.
Tools Needed:
- 10mm Socket
- Flat-head Screwdriver
- Small Torque Wrench
- 12mm Open Wrench
- Side Cutters
- Zmm Socket Driver
- 4mm, 3mm Hex Key
Preparation
Make sure vehicle is parked on a level surface. Set the parking brake. If engine has run in the past two hours, let it cool down.
Removal of Stock System
Carefully pull up on engine cover and remove it from the engine bay. Loosen the turbo inlet hose clamp and separate the turbo inlet hose from the air box outlet.
Release the ECU connectors and pull the ECU harness from the stock air box. Unclip the ECU harness from the four locations shown and move it aside.
Pull the stock air intake system from the vehicle and make sure the grommets are still seated in the engine bay.
Installation of AEM Intake System
Install the stud mounts to the AEM air box and apply edge trim to the inlet scoops. Trim to fit.
Install the AEM logo plate with the M6 X 16mm button-head bolts and nuts.
