Summary of Observations, Comments & Recommendations
The performance of the tractor, New Holland 3600 2 All Rounder Plus, was evaluated based on test results. The maximum PTO power was recorded as 34.2 kW, which meets the requirement of IS: 12207-2014 tolerance limit. However, the specific fuel consumption corresponding to maximum power was recorded as 277 glkWh, which is not within the tolerance limit of IS: 12207-2014.

POT Performance
The maximum PTO power was recorded as 34.2 kW against the declaration of 33.6 kW.
The operator’s seat dimensions do not meet the requirement of IS: 12343-1998 (Re-affirmed in 2014), and the specification of power take-off shaft, three point linkage, and linkage drawbar do not meet the requirements of IS: 4931-1995, IS: 4468 (Part-1) -1979, and IS: 12953-1990 respectively.
Some minor maintenance/service problems were observed, but no noticeable problems were found. Recommendations for improvement include provision of a spark arresting device in the exhaust system, and provision of PTO shaft master shield, fuel shut-off knob, and vertical retainers.
The literature supplied with the tractor, including the operator’s manual, service manual, and parts catalogue, was found adequate except for some minor discrepancies.
