In this Service Campaign, INFINITI is providing an Owner’s Manual addendum booklet to approximately 22,660 affected MY2017-2018 INFINITI QX30 vehicles due to an error in the manual’s description of the child safety lock operation. The addendum booklet provides corrected instructions for the proper operator operation of the manual engagement of the child safety lock.
What Retailers Should Do
Verify if new vehicles in their inventory are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History Open Campaign I.D. PC8B3. New vehicles can also be identified using DBS (Sales Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). If a retailer receives an addendum booklet for a vehicle they have retailed, they should either forward the addendum booklet to the current owner or add it to the owner’s manual of any vehicles they currently control.
Release Schedule
INFINITI will begin mailing Owner’s Manual addendum booklets in late June 2018 via US. Mail. Vehicle owners will be notified via mail and will not need to visit a retailer to obtain an updated owner’s manual.
