Emission Control Issue
This bulletin addresses a condition where some 2014-2017 model year GX 460 vehicles equipped with the 1UR-FE engine may exhibit a “MIL ON” condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P006A (MAP Mass or Volume Air Flow Correlation Bank 1). The condition may also cause rough engine running and hesitation under acceleration.
Repair Procedure
The repair procedure involves checking the PCV hose for connections and damage, inspecting the intake system for vacuum leaks, reading the MAP value using Techstream, and replacing the EGR Valve Assembly if necessary.
The repair is covered under the Lexus Federal Emission Warranty for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle’s in-service date. A mechanic may use the Technical Information System (TIS) and repair manuals specific to the model and model year to perform the repair.
