Summary of the First Two Pages
The service manual is intended for private users and maintenance staff at Service Stations. It covers the periodic service and cleaning of the carburetor.
Task of the Carburetor
The carburetor’s primary task is to deliver a mixture of air and fuel in well-defined proportions, supplying the engine with the most suitable amounts in accordance with the running conditions.
Test and Setting of Carburetor
The WEBER DCOE series of carburetors are delivered tested and set as prescribed for the vehicle. No alteration of the setting should be made, as this might upset the regular running of the engine.
Removal and Assembly of Carburetor
The carburetor should be removed by disconnecting the air filter or air intake, carburetor connections, carburetor connecting rod, air intake fixing support, sheath fixing screw, cable fixing screw, petrol pipe fitting, flange fixing nuts, and common air intake. After reassembly, check the state of gaskets and flat surfaces for perfect sealing before connecting fuel pipe.
