Rapide Fuel Filler Door Alignment Problem
Aston Martin has issued a service bulletin to address an issue with the fuel filler door alignment on Rapide vehicles.
Problem:
The torsion spring on the fuel filler door can cause the assembly to move, leading to misalignment and difficulty opening the door.
This issue affects Rapide vehicles up to chassis number F01419, and those with a specific VIN range (FOO001 to F05462).
The service bulletin provides a workshop procedure to correct the issue, including steps to remove the gas strut, adjust and assemble the mechanism, and reassemble the fuel filler door.
Workshop Procedure:
The procedure includes 30 steps, covering preparation, removal of the gas strut, adjustment and assembly, and reassembly of the fuel filler door.
The service bulletin applies to all dealers, after-sales managers, executive managers, service managers, sales managers, warranty staff, technicians, and parts staff.
