The Durata Model 7120Q, 71210, and 71220 transvenous tachyarrhythmia leads are true bipolar, steroid-eluting, active fixation leads designed for implantation with the distal tip positioned in the right ventricle. They provide rate-sensing pacing and delivery of cardioversion/defibrillation shocks.

Indications for Use

The leads are indicated for use with compatible pulse generators and provide pacing and sensing and deliver cardioversion/defibrillation therapy to the heart. They may offer the benefit of avoiding thoracotomy for lead implantation.

Potential Complications

The use of transvenous lead systems may be associated with potential complications, including supraventricular or ventricular arrhythmias, conduction disturbances, cardiac perforation, cardiac tamponade, loss of contractility, air embolism, heart wall rupture, and more. It is important to refer to the defibrillator manual for additional complications and precautions specific to the pulse generator.
