Installation Preparation
It is crucial to ensure the vehicle is prepared for installation, which includes disconnecting the vehicle’s negative battery cable, removing the driver’s scuff plate, kick panel, lower dash panel, and steering column covers, and securing the driver’s side JB.
Mounting the Keyless Entry Module
The main module must be secured to the harness above and behind the driver side JB using the long cable ties and adhesive pad provided in the hardware bag.
Routing the Main Harness
The portion of the harness that includes the Brown, Brown with White, and Blue with White wires must be routed to the driver’s side JB, and the 6-pin ignition connectors must be routed over the steering column to the ignition switch.
Installation of the toggle switch, connecting the main harness, and mounting the switch are also crucial steps in the installation process.
